Vintage style bride Denver- wearing charming pillbox hat.

Vintage Retro Wedding

We knew we wanted a retro/vintage vibe, so the color palette of red, turquoise and black was a given. The bride loves to play games so a thrift store search for game boards was in order… The bride envisioned towers of tissue honeycomb balls, so we put her Dad to work designing a way for the tissue balls to stack instead of hang. The wedding reception was to be small, fun and delicious so we created a menu that included:

  • smoked chicken thighs & leg
  • pulled pork sandwiches
  • potato salad
  • coleslaw
  • deviled eggs
  • strawberries & grapes
  • coconut cake
  • snickerdoodles & peanut butter cookies
  • Mama Donna’s famous caramel corn
  • cotton candy
  • bottled sodas
  • a candy buffet

The bride wanted to play games so fresh flower centerpieces would have been a waste when they were moved to play games. The solution was flowers made from paper cupcake liners. The paper flowers in thrift store milk glass vases sat on top of thrift store game boards for a very colorful table.

The open photo booth was a huge hit with all the guests both young and old. The kids at this wedding had a blast with a Twister game, the photo booth, the candy, the cotton candy.

Many thanks to Jordyn Blair for exquisite photography!

Rustic Chic Colorado Wedding

I loved this wedding! The bright colors looked so gorgeous against the Colorado mountain backdrop. The bride’s Dad made the fabulous wood boxes for the centerpieces and I reclaimed weathered wood from fences that fell down during a storm for all the fun, rustic signs. The food couldn’t have been more delicious! Guests dined on barbecue, s’mores and cotton candy. Even the horses got into the action with flower adorned manes. Guests were shuttled via golf carts since parking was non-existent… just added to the fun!

Columbine Country Club Wedding

This beautiful bride had always wanted and planned on a Spring wedding. But alas, the wedding was scheduled for late December. What to do, what to do…? Ignore winter! Pull on yellow polka dotted rain boots and protect those pretty heads with green polka dotted umbrellas. This was a beautiful wedding to plan and design and I was thrilled to have the opportunity to style this event. The wedding ceremony took place in the LDS Denver temple. The reception was held at Columbine Country Club.

Blush and Gold Wedding

Colorado is such a gorgeous state for a mountain wedding! This charming couple chose Golden Colorado for their wedding festivities. I didn’t find out until the Father of the bride presented a surprise video at this lavish and romantic wedding, that the happy couple had been childhood friends and then sweethearts. The bride wanted a formal, elegant and rather traditional vibe with soft, feminine colors of ivory, blush and gold. But we added a touch of fun with whimsical chalkboard signs, gold wood signs and tissue paper tassel garlands.
